Happy Sunday Morning

Happy Sunday Morning all,

I am awake and have been for most of the night.  Rhonda was in the area of my house last night and she came by and brought me a Starbucks, so HENCE the sleeplessness.  It's ok I had a solid 9 hours on Friday night, and that is terrific for me.

Did you see that Monica posted already.  So happy for you, that it is over and you are up and around.  That is how you heal.  Way to go.  Has anyone heard from Janet and how she is doing, she had surgery the same day and was wondering?  My inquiring mind wants to know.

So what did everyone do yesterday.  I know that Steph got a fridge.  Lu is on my mind, she is in the middle of that 7-12 hour day at work.  Miss Rhonda is off work today, first time in 6 days.  Let me think here, oh yeah, little Michelle is going to Disneyland.  I can't think of anything else right now,  I know I have missed the a lot of you.  Sorry, 60 years of age brings that problem, the brain takes breaks whenever it wants.  hehe

So now that I have asked everyone what they did yesterday what is going on today?  I know it's going to be another hot one.  I do not remember it ever being this hot before, I mean 115 about 5 miles from here and 113 here in the foothills.  It's NUTS!!!!!  Please everyone care for yourselves, your families, including your pets.  Do not leave the outside, it is so hot for them too.  Make sure they have water and think about dropping some ice in their water too.  If you know of elderly people, check on them too, no please no one needs to call this elderly person, but be watchful for them too.

Ok kids, my day consists of the same thing, sitting down.  My middle sister will be here today and I think that Dougie is going to make something special for dinner.  He got everything cleaned yesterday and there is nothing for him to do.  I even helped a tiny bit cleaning the bedroom.

Good Morning Diane and Cali Guys and Gals!

So sorry I should have brought you a Decaf!  I was wrong Lexie did not fall asleep before Waterman, she fell asleep before we hit the freeway!  lol.  I slept good and hard and woke up around 5:00 today.  I guess one can't change their internal clock can they?  lol.  I am tired, but I can't sleep so I thought what the heck I will just get up and goof around.  Today I am going to play with Lego's I have this villiage that I have been wanting to make and today I am going to do ti.  Seany wants to help so him and I are going to just hang out and do it, period end of questions.  I love it and that is that.  Now please don't tell Michelle we are doing this or she is going to come over and take over, she has become a Lego fanatic like us, (all my fault you know).  Well that is all that is new for me.  I only have to work 5 days next week and that is a good thing.  No Saturdays in the hot sun for me!  Well I think I am going to play on the comuter for a bit, farming or answering emails or something so I better go.  Everyone have a great day!

Monica . . .way to go!  Glad to hear you are out - haven't read your post yet, but you are amazing.

Nothing much for me today . . . except I found out she has me demo-ing fresh pinapples today . .. and I've already left a voice mail saying I don't think I can seriously do that . . . my hands don't have the strength to cut one, let alone do it for 6 hours . . . so we'll see what happens.  It isn't like she doesn't know about my hands - I had to take in the workmen's comp thing saying I can wear wrist braces . . . wouldn't you think that would be a clue????  I'll be glad when our regular boss gets back.

Tonight . . . depending on if I have to cut pineapples all day (not) . . . I'm DRAGGING my daughter to see Bonnie & Clyde at the drive in . . . it's so hot in the house, it has to be better than sitting at home.  She can take her laptop with her . . . wonder if they have Wifi?? lol

Good Morning Diane and Cali,

The Wilson gals are sitting at    the computer as we do most mornings because Jordyn drags me over.  We went to LB ,kco    ffee yesterdat and mmy lil one waS NNM JUST A SOCIAL butterfly.  She was not really my friend yesterday.  I had rubbed her down the night before with m     a cadamixaxxxxcdxcdx nut oil on my hands and sent her to emergency with a major allergic      rea  ction.  Her tummy bec ame one large swollen hive.  This heat is not helping.  So tady it is stay in a relax.  By the way she is helping me type this morning but a commercial just came on so I am rushing to finish.

I am sooooooooo tired of this heat.  I am not a big fan of summer heat. I prefer it in the low 80's at the highest. It was much cooler in LB yesterday at coffee. It was about 110 at home, yuck!

LB Coffee was nice and Jordyn was very social and cute as usual. It was very nice to see everyone yesterday and to see a few new faces. What a great group we have.. The name tags will be awesome too.

It was a scorcher here yesterday too, my car at one point said 107.  Thank goodness for the AC which was going until late last night.

This morning I am sitting here in the living room with the door open and listening to the squirrels talk, it's so much fun!!  I am sure they will start running along the fence pretty soon.  They actually sound like they are arguing this morning.

Yesterday as I posted on Daily Thanksgivings, I bought the outfit for my 2nd interview on Wed.  I love red and was drawn to this one immediately.  It's red with black trim and came with a skirt so I had to buy another pair of black pants.  I hardly wear skirts anymore, as do most of the folks I have interviewed with and I just plain feel more comfortable in pants.  Macy's had an awesome sale and bought the pants at McCalous (awesome storew in the East Bay with decent prices and old fashioned customer service).

Today not much planned.  I am meeting a former co-worker for a walk this morning around the resevoir.  Will come home and do a little laundry perhaps.  It's supposed to be 10 degrees cooler here, but I'll believe that when it happens, they don't usually get it right!

Good morning Diane and Cali,

So glad we are not in Cali-looks like everyone is burning up with the heat!  It was around 77 yesterday here in WA.  The morning was cold and rainy, then it cleared up and we went to Pikes Market place for an early dinner. 

Today spending the day with my sister.  Gonna make some enchiladas and salsa for her.  Brought the stuff from home she has a hard time finding good Mexican food here.  Or finding ingredients she likes to use!

Good morning Diane and the rest of California,

Early morning and it's hot out already.  Not as bad as yesterday though, I think.  I would have loved to sleep a bit latter this morning but our kitty, Minkie, had other ideas.  He was in a very playful mood and decided to use Mike and I as his playground.  So I got up at which point he went straight for the kitchen meowing and that's when I realized what he wanted.  He wanted some kitty treats.  The little brat sure knows how to get what he wants.  LOL

Yup, got the fridge yesterday and it was exactly what I wanted.  Freezer on the bottom.  I had one in my house in Florida and I just loved it.  Sold it with the house, of course, and now I have replaced it and I'm thrilled beyond words.

Today brings us a trip to Pasadena to spend the day with my sister.  My son will be joining us as well so it makes it that much better.  We'll all bring swim suits and hang out by the pool, do some BBQing and talk sh*t about everyone else in the family.  Yup, a good day.  LOL I think Mike and I will go out for some breakfast first.  There is this great little coffee shop type place in Rancho Cucamonga which is on the way to my sister's house.  The wait is long, especially on Sunday but it's really good and the prices are so reasonable.

I poured boiling water on my hand the other day (on accident LOL) and needless to say it got burnt.  Well all the little blisters have started to pop and now it itches so badly I'm going to scratch my hand off.  Time to get out the Gold Bond cream.  That stuff works really well on itching.

OK, time to get myself in the shower and start to get ready to go. Mike has managed to go back to sleep, the bum, Minky has gone outside, so I think it is left up to me to go wake him up.  My theory is that if I'm up, big boy, so are you.  It's only fair.  LOL

Everyone have a great day, drink plenty of water and then some more if you are going to be out in the heat, and remember.....do something wonderful just for yourself.

Di - glad to hear you are getting around a little. sorry you didn't get much sleep last night. sounds like a nap might be in order!

Lu - hang in there girl, 7-12's is deadly!

Yesterday was Cookin Hot on the coast! We were lucky here at the house it was only about 85 but about 5 miles inland it was 110! Frightening for us since most places around here don't have air conditioning. Today is supposed to be a bit a cooler. Took Sammi Swimming yesterday. We don't get the chance to do that much and she did good. First time she actually kept herself above water with her legs by herself.


Today we are going to a wedding right on the bluffs on the coast. it should be an absolutely gorgeous day for it and the bride and groom and just the cutest ever. The groom is the son of my best friend and his bride to be is just a doll. Sammi is looking forward to wearing her dancing dress. LOL.

Diane, that goodie from Starbucks might have been worth not sleep

I spent part of yesterday at the beach.  It felt so good to be right by the water. There was a breeze and it took the sting of it being 85 degrees in Santa Cruz off a bit. Most of us here don't have air conditioning in our homes so when it hits above 80 here, it feels more intense than it really is. In the evening I was at my dad's for a very pleasent evening of conversation, much of it focused on WLS.

Today, I think I'll be sticking close to home and doing chores around the house. I might find the time to go swim laps at my gym. At 5 pm my husband and I are going up to my mom's to water her beautiful garden and help her out any other way we can.  She's just ending her post chemo week of hell and needs help doing a few things.

I really have to watch my munching. I've been doing too much of it. I am a muncher, always have been. SIGH.
